What are Phenolic Resin Countertops?

Phenolic resin countertops consists of a simple design where layers of craft paper are fused together to form a light-weight slab that remains incredibly durable. The resulting countertop is highly resistant to bacterial, fungal, and chemical substances. This specific type of countertop is popular in most high school or middle school science labs.

While phenolic resin is strikingly similar to epoxy resin, the materials differ in their ability to conduct heat. Work requiring a prolonged exposure of 350 degrees or more is better suited for epoxy worktops.
